Pretty much any USB to Ethernet adapter will work, as macOS contains drivers for these devices.

Thanks! will buy this one locally:
TP‑Link UE300

And will update if managed to install, hoping the EFI is well configured aswell.

I should remove then:
• IntelMausiEthernet
• SmallTreeIntel82576

When using the usb to install right?

Yes, as they won’t be required.

hi @Edhawk , any chance for some help?
i have made an offline installer ( with a macbook ) with a full recovery image for the os install.
I'm getting in the installer up until to the point where it says : about 12 minutes remaining and then I'm getting an error :
An error occurred loading the update
tried several times...
I'm attaching here the efi , the oc log , and a screenshot

i have made the oc using the oc-simplify, but then made adjustments based on dortania guide... did i miss something?
mapped the usb using the usbtoolbox
applied amd patches, not sure about the boot arg alpcid though ...

any help will be appreciated, thanks!

I will have a look at your setup when I am at my desk later today.

A common cause of the 12 minutes remaining issue is a problem with the macOS installer. These can fail due to issues during the download of the package from the Apple server. It is usually found that deleting the current downloaded installer, downloading a new copy, erasing and recreating the USB installation drive fixes this issue, not always but more commonly than not. Obviously if you have managed to get that far through the process your EFI folder shouldn’t need to be messed with.

Hi @Edhawk , i have tried recreating the installer using the following 2 methods:
1) downloading the image via gibmacos - then "installing" it, copying it to the Applications folder and running the command :
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sequoia.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB

2) downloading the image using :
softwareupdate --list-full-installers; echo; echo "Please enter version number you wish to download:"; read REPLY; [ -n "$REPLY" ] && softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version "$REPLY"
-> choosing sequoia , then running the command:
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sequoia.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB

the USB is 128GB , and formatted in disk utility first with Mac OS Extended (Journaled) , and the GUID partition map

same out come in both cases, stuck at the 12 min mark, and saying the same thing : An error occurred loading the update

any idea what else i can try?
