Install Tahoe beta 3 PC ASUS X570 Pro CSM - Ryzen 3600 - Gigabyte RX 5700XT

AMD BIOS Settings

  • Note: Most of these options may not be present in your firmware, we recommend matching up as closely as possible but don't be too concerned if many of these options are not available in your BIOS
Disable
  • Fast Boot
  • Secure Boot
  • Serial/COM Port
  • Parallel Port
  • Compatibility Support Module (CSM) (Must be off in most cases, GPU errors/stalls like gIO are common when this option is enabled)
  • IOMMU
Enable

  • Above 4G Decoding (This must be on, if you can't find the option then add npci=0x3000 to boot-args. Do not have both this option and npci enabled at the same time.)
    • If you are on a Gigabyte/Aorus or an AsRock motherboard, enabling this option may break certain drivers(ie. Ethernet) and/or boot failures on other OSes, if it does happen then disable this option and opt for npci instead
    • 2020+ BIOS Notes: When enabling Above4G, Resizable BAR Support may become an available on some X570 and newer motherboards. Please ensure that Booter -> Quirks -> ResizeAppleGpuBars is set to 0 if this is enabled.
  • EHCI/XHCI Hand-off
  • OS type: Windows 8.1/10 UEFI Mode (some motherboards may require "Other OS" instead)
  • SATA Mode: AHCI

It seems quite long and complicated, does it all work? I also have an X570 (PRIME PRO ASUS) and 5700X can you share your EFI directory?

Siria.

There are two EFI folders attached to the first post.

'EFI USB Boot' which I assume should be used when installing macOS.

And

'EFI OC 1.0.5 Tahoe beta 3 ASUS X570 Pro- Ryzen 3600- Gigabyte 5700XT', which I assume should be used when macOS has been installed.

Not sure why there are two EFII folders, as I usually only require one, which works for the installation and when macOS is installed.

Many new users of hackintosh do not know how to disable or enable editing with which app? OCAuxiliaryTools or Propertree or config plist configurator
so I made 2 folders before installing using USB and EFI folder after installing copied to FAT32 partition hard drive

I'm a girl with little experience in this, yet I'm studying for a degree in computer science.
I used your EFI folder since we have the same motherboard (mine is an X570 PRIME PRO, which is identical to the PRO/CSM).
I also have a 5700XT (MSI), but my processor is a 2700X, so it's 8 cores.

In your config.plist, I enabled the ppleCpuPmCfgLock (it's strange that yours was set to false... I don't even have that setting in my BIOS).
I changed the CPU core count from 06 (in your case) to 08 (in mine).
I also added my USB mapping (yours didn't have one — why not?).

The part about SIP isn't clear to me yet, so — since I'm inexperienced — I looked for information online.

In the end, I decided to use the recovery method with Sequoia, using your EFI.

The result is that the USB stick boots, the installation starts, but it's extremely slow — it says it will take more than 2 hours to complete.
The USB ports on the motherboard don't work, only the accessory ones do.

In short, I'm a bit stuck now and don't know where to
go from here.
Maybe i've to open an other thread 🫣

AppleCpuPmCfgLock is related to Intel Hacks, AND systems don’t need this Quirk enabled.

@ccphuc ❤️thanks for your EFI USB.
I'm using it for boot recovery and works.
I can install macosx but when finished it does not reboot (maybe some kext of power management?)
When i try to boot macos partition, can't boot it 😞

Tahoe beta 3 install Reboot four time login to macos, enable all kext

done, thanks! You are an angelo. I'm using your EFI directory (USB version)
Doesn't works:
  • S1220A, audio of motherboard: i've compilated and installed VOODOOhda: error, no devices. (maybe i've to remove AppleALC?)(for the moment i've deleted VoodooHDA.Kext and the panel)
  • localization service: automatic hour say that i'm in India :') i can't change it.
  • keyboard after boot need push some butto for waking up.
  • after reboot my hard drive of macos disappears. i've to shutdown and then it works.
  • MACOS don't detect USB-C of the keyboard.
