I'm using an MX ERGO mouse connected via Bluetooth. My OS is macOS Sequoia on a Hackintosh.
This time, I purchased the latest version (?) called the MX ERGO S.
However, while the MX ERGO connects normally, the MX ERGO S won't connect. It does work if I plug the receiver into a USB port.
I'm puzzled because the only change seems to be that both the MX ERGO and MX ERGO S support Type-C charging.
Incidentally, it connects to other machines (like an M1 MacBook or Windows PCs, such as a friend's notebook).
To summarize the situation:
1. There is a system where the MX ERGO S won't connect.
2. If the system is faulty, the MX ERGO shouldn't connect either.
3. If the MX ERGO S is defective, it shouldn't connect to other machines either.
4. Just to be sure, I turned off macOS Sequoia's Bluetooth, waited a few minutes, and tried reconnecting, but it didn't work. I also tried turning the mouse itself off and on.
I can't find any other cause, so I'm asking for help.
I saw some nonsense online claiming it won't work without installing some software called Logi Options+, but I tried installing it anyway. However, other machines recognize it without the software, so I don't think it's related.
I'd like to try things I haven't tried yet...
