I'd like to start off by saying I am pretty new to Hackintoshing. I have done one in the past for a Lenovo Ideapad, but it wasn't very in-depth and I was lacking a lot of knowledge then.

I'm very familiar with Linux, and develop for the OnePlus Nord N30, primarily a custom kernel but also building ROMs. I'm pretty much wet behind the ears when it comes to Hackintosh, especially when AMD is involved.

If anyone has some pointers on where one would start or how to go about making one with the computer in my signature, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Hello and welcome to the forum.

First thing of note is that you should have a read of the ‘Storage’ section of the Anti-Hackintosh Buyers Guide, as it names your drive as one to avoid. As it isn’t compatible with macOS (any version).

I am aware that SSD won't work, I plan on using an external SSD for now until I can get a compatible NVME one. I'm struggling on where to start though. There is a lot of conflicting information and some of it seems kind of vague. Is there some kind of jumping off point or something to help me get the jist of it?

The Dortania Ryzen guide is the jumping off point for any recent AMD system looking to run macOS.

This guide while aimed at desktop systems has links to a lot of information that is relevant for your laptop.

If you are lucky enough to find a GitHub repository that has the same laptop running macOS, that would make your task easier.
