Hackintosh or real mac?

Hi everyone,
i'm trying to build an hackintosh, but no success at the moment... :( so i'm in the verge to give up and buy a mac.

But i have a question first: i'd like to use macos for software like xcode. I want to learn to program on swift so it seems the only way.

Is it possibile to have a good experience using xcode, building apps etc on an hackintosh?

Btw i don't really don't want to give up on building my own hackintosh... i think my motherboard MSI B550 A PRO may be the problem...

So what's your opinion?
 
Xcode runs fine on a hackintosh. If you are trying to run Monterey then the MSI board is most likely the issue yeah. Big Sur should work just fine though.
 
Do you know what's the most compatible board for hackintosh?

Do you know if there is any differences between an EFI for Big Sur and one for Monterey? Do i need to take close attention to something? :unsure:

As long as the EFI, kexts and patches are up to date it'll work for Monterey.
 
I tried to build a new EFI following dortania guide with the debbug version of opencore. I think i did everything correct but i get an error... i attach it here if something can help me to fix it 😫

Thank you very much! I tried it and it boot in the macOS installer :D no problems with Big Sur, but with Monterey it crashes D:
Now i try to install Big Sur :)
What was wrong with my original EFI? :unsure:
 
You hadn't enabled the ProvideCurrentCpuInfo quirk. I also gave it a tidy and added RestrictEvents. You may need to update Lilu, VirtualSMC etc to boot Monterey.
 
I think i missed some part of the guide then 😅 really thank you for your help!
Btw i think i have the latest version of Lilu, VirtualSMC etc :unsure:
Now i just need to wait to download the os in the recovery mode, but my wifi seems like it looses the connection after about 1 hour:cry: tomorrow i'll try with the lan!

Do you think is safe to use the apple account I normally use with my iPhone?

I still need to do a reboot, but at the moment Bluetooth doesn't work... do i need to add IntelBluetoothInjector to my EFI? :unsure:
 
I had my hack setup first which is when I made my iCloud account. It's now used on my iPhone and two iPads without any issues.

Btw i was able to enable bluetooth, but no airdrop... and the audio comes from the display port, not from my external speakers... any idea on how to fix it?

I am using my personal iCloud account across iOS devices, Macbook Pro and various Hackintoshes I have made.
No issues.
