Configuration:
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 6 3600
  • MB: Gigabyte B450 Aorus M (Micro-ATX)
  • GPU: Asrock Radeon RX 5700 XT Challenger D 8G OC
  • NVMe: XPG 512G, running Windows
  • SSD: Crucial MX500, 500GB, SATA, running MacOS
  • Audio: Sennheiser GSX 1000 (external USB DAC/amplifier)
  • LAN: onboard
  • Display: 4K LG 27UL650-W, connected through display port
  • HyperX Alloy FPS Pro, LED
  • Memory: 2x Crucial Ballistix Sport Lt, 8GB 3000MHz (CAS 15)
  • Logitech MX Master 2S connected though its proprietary dongle.
BIOS:
  • Version F50 (not the latest, which is F51f
I won't give much details because as I just followed EXACTLY this guide, https://www.technolli.com, specifically

Remarks:
  • I have installed the 10.15.5 and then upgraded to 10.15.6. After a few reboots, everything was fine.
  • The Logitech mouse software was a little annoying to install and configure.
Working:
  • I am working daily for about one month. Not a single freeze after I had disabled the sleep.
Weird behavior: (annoying stuff that happens a few times a day)
  • The monitor reduces its brightness, when I am watching a Youtube video in full screen. Then I get out the full screen and everything goes back to normal.
  • A key from my (USB) keyboard fails. I have to unplug and then plug the USB cable and it works again. Maybe it is a keyboard issue.
  • The external DAC/Amp is off. I have to disconnect and reconnect it again.
  • Some applications, like Safari, freezes for a second or two and then returns to the normal operation. Maybe it could be the slower IO (SATA). I will use CCC to transfer the MacOS to the NVMe and see if it reduces this lagging.
Not working:
  • I believe that the integrated sound don't work, but I am using an external DAC/Amp that works quite well. Better than in Linux.
  • Sleep. Turn off the display works.
To do:

Remember to update the serial numbers if you download the EFI folder!
