I have a created a clean installation of Tahoe 26.0 on a spare WD SN5700 1TB drive, on my Asus X570-F Gaming / Ryzen 9 5900X / RX 6700 XT / AQC113CS / BCM4360xxx system.
I used my current OC EFI 1.0.5 that runs Sequia 15.7, only needing to update NootRX.kext for it to work with Tahoe. The OC EFI folder remains on my Sequoia drive and happily boots both OS's.
Tahoe 26.0 About this Mac.
I used the latest AMD Kernel Patches and CaseySJ's Aquantia 10G NIC patches.
Everything works that I expected to work.
Broadcom WiFi is the exception. It doesn't work. Neither does Messages.
OpenCore Legacy Patcher v 2.4.1 finds the Host System to be unsupported, so it won't install the Modern WiFi patches.
I have signed in to my iCloud account, but without the WiFi I won't be using Tahoe too much.
I'll stick with Sequoia until OCLP is updated for Tahoe.
I selected the option to not use FileVault during the clean installation, so no issues with encryption or decryption of the Tahoe drive.
I don't get the reason for replacing Launchpad with the Applications folder. That is a regression back to the days of OS X Snow Leopard & Lion!
No questions, not looking for help.
I have attached a copy of my current OC EFI 1.0.5 for those with this or a similar motherboard/CPU/dGPU combination, who may need some help getting Sequoia 15.7 or Tahoe 26.0 up and running on their system.
Just be aware I have customised this EFI to suit my specific needs and the components I am using in this system.
