There is a mismatch between the SMBIOS you are using in your config.plist (MacPro7,1) and the SMBIOS model stated in your USBPorts.kext/Contents/Info.plist (MacPro6.1). This mismatch will prevent your USB ports from working in Ventura, as the MacPro6,1 SMBIOS was dropped from support in Ventura.
You need to do the following:
Navigate to the /EFI/OC/Kexts folder
Right-Click on the USBPorts.kext
Select 'Show Package Contents' option from the drop down menu
Click the arrow next to the Contents folder icon
Double-Click the info.plist that is present in the Contents folder.
This will open the plist with the default Plist editor on your system. In my case this is ProperTree.
There are 4 x locations in the plist that use the MacPro6,1 name, these need to be changed to MacPro7,1 for the kext to work.
You have both the AppleALC.kext and AppleALCU.kext present in your OC setup, with both kexts enabled in your config.plist. This is not necessary.
2 x Audio kexts in setup, when only one should be used.
The specifications for your motherboard shows the following in respect of the Audio codec:
So the AppleALCU.kext is not required, as this is not a USB Audio device.
Your config.plist is missing the NVRAM > Add > 7C436110-AB2A-4BBB-A880-FE41995C9F82 > crs-active-config entry, which sets SIP in the config.plist.
csr-active-config missing from config.plist.
Fix these errors and see if your OC setup will boot Ventura.
It still crashes at apple's logo and never go through the installation
Here is my updated EFI but I couldn't uninstall the appleALCU.kext since I don't know how to do that using windows
The Photo you provided of the Verbose text is not the clearest, or my eyes are playing tricks on me. Whichever, I am struggling to read the text on the image. Do you have a larger resolution image you can attach so I can read the text.
It seems to be ACPI related, so I am wondering if the SSDT-CPUR.aml table in your /EFI/OC/ACPI folder is set correctly for your system.
If you post a copy of your system DSDT.aml, which you can obtain by using Corpnewt's SSDTTime-Master python script in Windows. That might help me understand what the ACPI error is referring to in the verbose text message.
Does the screen stop at the point you photographed, or does it continue on at any point after this text?
AppleALCU.kext has been removed from the OC setup. The other issues I mentioned in post #3 have also been fixed.
An issue I missed is that you have 2 x mismatched entries for the Audio Codec Layout-ID in your config.
You have audio set to use layout-id 7 in the DeviceProperties section
You have Audio set to use layout-id=1 in the boot arguments, NVRAM section.
The Boot argument will take precedence over the DeviceProperties entry, so depending on which id is correct you may or may not have functioning Audio when you eventually boot in to macOS Ventura.
I think this pic is more clear, and what should I do with the audio codec layouts ? The one in NVRAM sectio was set to 12 but I changed it to 1.
Yeah the screen stopped at this point
