Anyone get Catalina working on an FX-8370?

title says it all. wondering if anyone has had experience getting an older system working with Catalina - am told it 'should' work but if anyone has and can share their config.plist that would be great. I'm running the asus 970 gaming pro aura board with an rx580.

Also, does the '15h' kernel patch for opencore work with this processor?

I know you probably don't want to hear "it should work" again, so I'll spare you that. LOL. But, the FX-8370 is part of the Bulldozer family of processors, of which the 15h patches are made for. Ok I lied, I'm gonna say it....it should work.

Seriously though, I would just go for it and definitely answer your own question by working your way through the step by step Opencore Desktop Guide. It should only take an hour or so to build an installation USB. If you're able to boot to something like this...



then you'll definitively know the patches worked.
