On my X670E Gene, whenever I set the i225-V speed to 2.5Gbps the system will immediately freeze. It will also freeze when the port is set to 1Gbps. But on 100Mbps it works fine. When I return from holiday, I'll check a few things including whether I have e1000=0 in boot-args.

Interesting -- your board's DSDT does not contain an Embedded Controller device (EC), which we would expect to see under PCI0.SBRG. But that does not matter because macOS does not use it anyway. We create a dummy EC device, which the SSDT is doing. It would be good to try these suggestions next:

I believe we no longer need either the SSDT or the kext. Latest versions of Monterey (and Ventura and Sonoma) should support i225-V natively.
