Thanks for the tip, I remember reading about that somewhere within this thread. so my first four patches should be;

BA100000 0000
BA100000 0090
BA100000 00
instead of;
B8080000 0000
BA080000 0000
BA080000 0090
BA080000 00

So after reading through this thread and testing some of the EFI's, I still don't seem to be getting anywhere. Edhawk kindly put together an EFI for me to try, it contains the patches from Visual, attached below. The purpose of this build is a case mod for a Nintendo GameCube, any advice would...
Have a look at ProperTree from GitHub, In my opinion it’s the easiest EFI editor to learn. Also take a look at Noots website, there are specific kexts you’ll need for backlight, trackpad and keyboard.
One thing you should definitely try is adding the SMBIOS info for your laptop. We don't want to broadcast this info, so you should try it yourself. Noot suggests MacBookPro16,3 for laptops, that's entered in 'SystemProductName'. Corpnewts GenSMBIOS script will help with the rest of the info...
Hmm, I need help here, there are kexts you need to install into the EFI to enable them. Check out these kexts from Noot and see what you need to install for keyboard and trackpad.

I have attached a copy of my EFI for a 'DESKTOP' with a Ryzen 7 4700G, unfortunately I have no experience with laptops, but it's a start. There are specific AMD laptop kexts etc that you will have to look up an add to the EFI. You'll also need to add SMBIOS info.
You'll need to update your patches, you currently have 19, the latest patch contains 21 entries. Add revpatch=cpuname,pci,sbvmm, you can remove this arg once update is installed.
@atanvarno i’ve seen messier if I’m honest, but two Keychron keyboards more than make up for it!. I just got a keychron k3, beautiful to type on and really light.
