    Ryzen 7000 Testing

With which devices does the card work? The card may not work with Ethernet devices on Ryzen because many of them require AppleVTD. In Windows the card may or may not work. It just depends on the type of device.

@mariettosun, I just upgraded another Hackintosh from Ventura to Sonoma 14.1 (in-place upgrade). Afterwards I tried to install OCLP patch for Broadcom as follows: However, after rebooting and resetting NVRAM, I get the following error when installing OCLP: Here we can see that the folder...

Firefox could not be started using just boot argument amfi=0x80, but installing AMFIPass.kext and using boot argument -amfipassbeta allows Firefox to run.

Unfortunately they only provide drivers for Linux and Android. And the drivers can only be obtained by contacting their marketing department, which is something I will be doing shortly. Link to card: https://www.sparklan.com/product/wpeb-265axibt-b33-r33-series/

** Attempting to run Broadcom Wi-Fi 6 modules natively in macOS Sonoma ** macOS Ventura and Sonoma contain both Wi-Fi 6 and 6E drivers for x86 and Apple Silicon platforms. I have a SparkLAN mini-PCIe Wi-Fi 6 module that uses a Broadcom 0x449d chip. This particular device-id is not natively...

I just updated to 14.1 release and saw that OCLP auto-detects the missing root patches and asks whether we want to reapply them. With each macOS update, the root patches are overwritten.

I finally decided to try the OCLP patch for Broadcom. My mini-ITX system built with Asus Z690 and Intel i7-12600K has a Broadcom BCM94360NG M.2 that replaced the original Intel module. So it made sense to try the patch. I followed @mariettosun’s instructions. The procedure was simple, taking...

    Ryzen 7000 Testing

If I decide to buy a Ryzen 8000 processor then I'll certainly upgrade the BIOS and troubleshoot any errors that may occur. Because Ryzen 8000 is still 3 months away, we can wait. At least we know there's a potential monster waiting for us... :)

Awesome! This shows that DSDT could not be loaded because of missing: SB.PCI0.GPP7.UP00.DP40.UP00.DP20.NV00 This device is created here: And the parent device structure is created only when this condition is true: If we look at device NV00 itself, we see that Thunderbolt is defined here...

@mariettosun To determine what is causing DSDT to fail, are there any clear ACPI error messages earlier in the boot log?

UPDATE: In my post above I assumed DSDT failed to load because of missing \SB.PCI0.GPP7.UP00.DP60.XH00 In actuality, SSDT-1.aml that defines table HBUP failed to load because the above path is missing The GPP7.UP00.DP60.XH00 path is missing because SSDT-1 expects the DSDT to create the path...

If the only error that is preventing DSDT from loading is due to the highlighted error... ... then the missing ACPI path \_SB_.PCI0.GPP7.UP00.DP60.XH00 is conditionally defined by this: As we can see, there are 3 conditions: If (((G002 != 0x03) && ((G000 == One) && ( G004 !=...

Can you post all of the ACPI tables? This can be done by using OpenCore.efi debug binary and setting config.plist -> Misc -> Debug -> SysReport to True. Then ACPI files will be in "SysReport" folder located in root folder of EFI partition.

In the past we created a patch for Gigabyte DSDT problems. Now for Asus it seems we may also need to create patches for DSDT and some system SSDTs. I assume macOS boot process freezes shortly after those ACPI errors are displayed?

Ouch, looks like DSDT and many system SSDTs are failing to load. Regarding DSDT, macOS cannot find: \_SB.PCI0.GPP7.UP00.DP60.XH00.RHUB.POT6 Do Windows and/or Linux work with this BIOS?
