@mjstudyin
FYI, I’ve posted a new build guide and EFI folder that’s compatible with Sequoia and Tahoe (BIOS 3104):
https://forum.amd-osx.com/threads/macos-tahoe-installation-guide-and-efi-for-asus-x670e-gene.6020/
Please switch to the updated EFI folder attached here.
MMIO White List values have been added to config.plist
OpenCore logging has been turned off
Debug version of OpenCore has been replaced with Release version
We need to wait for CorpGhost's ACPI patches. But you're welcome to see if this...
@mrfatcatt,
I've asked CorpGhost on Discord to produce ACPI patches for your BIOS 3222. He'll work on it once he's home from work, in about 6 hours.
Meanwhile, let's generate another OpenCore log file as mentioned in previous post.
I overlooked something. Can you please do this:
Reboot the computer from the EFI folder on USB flash drive
At the OpenCore boot menu, select a macOS boot option
Then post the new opencore-2025-07-...txt log file
If there is no macOS boot option in the OpenCore boot menu, we'll need to create a...
@mrfatcatt,
You mentioned that you "have mac os sonoma already installed". Is it installed and working on the new Asus B650E-F? Or is Sonoma installed and working on a different Hackintosh?
Good idea to use BIOS 3222 instead of the newer non-reversible 3265. BIOS 3222 may need ACPI patches...
@mrfatcatt,
In order to generate MMIO White List and determine whether DSDT patches are needed, please boot your new system with the attached EFI folder. No changes are needed; just use the new EFI as-is.
It uses DEBUG version of OpenCore and will generate (a) ACPI dump and (b) OpenCore log...
Hello @mrfatcatt,
Let's see if we can help you configure OpenCore for your new system. As I understand it, you have the following new components:
Asus ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming WiFi motherboard
This has Intel 2.5Gbps Ethernet so we'll use the new AppleIGC.kext version 1.5
This has Realtek 4080...
@Amd_Hackint0sh,
Can you please post the following:
Open Terminal and type diskutil list, then grab and post a screenshot
IOReg file from IORegistryExplorer -> File -> Save As...
** Disable FileVault **
After macOS has been installed, check if FileVault has been enabled. If so, disable FileVault immediately otherwise you will be unable to log back in. Here's how:
** macOS Tahoe Installation Guide for Asus X670E Gene **
(do not quote this guide in its entirely; post a link instead)
Preamble
macOS Tahoe being the last version to support x86 processors, it seems appropriate to conclude the wonderful Hackintosh journey with a final build guide. This guide...
@ccphuc
TP-Link AC600 is a WiFi module, not Bluetooth. If your question is whether Tahoe supports this USB WiFi module, I'm not sure. But it's very cheap so you can buy one and try it, although I don't think it will work...
@pterodactylstfw
I've made some changes to your config.plist as shown below. Please copy serial numbers into PlatformInfo -> DataHub and then try booting with this config.plist.
After updating OpenCore and all kexts to officially released versions, Processor Name is appearing correctly in Tahoe on the Asus X670E Gene!! Official release happened 3 days ago.
System Settings -> Software Update is also working!
@Amd_Hackint0sh
Which version of BIOS is installed in your motherboard? Newer firmwares (BIOS) may require two or three ACPI patches to circumvent problems with DSDT. Have you looked into this already?
I can download and examine your EFI folder later today.
@CaliMark
Beta 3 is occasionally causing an instantaneous reboot on my Asus X670E Gene. I’ll send a few crash reports to Apple, but Beta 1 was stable on this system.
I’ll also disable some kexts to see if one of them might be causing a problem.
