We can bridge those pins using a female/female Dupont or breadboard cable such as the one that comes in this packet: https://www.amazon.com/EDGELEC-Breadboard-1pin-1pin-Connector-Multicolored/dp/B07GD312VG The USB connector is needed only if you wish to connect a USB 2.0 device to one of the...

Hello @agent2 I posted this Sonoma mini-guide last week. OpenCore 0.9.4 is the minimum version necessary (it fixes ForceAquantiaEthernet quirk for 10GbE). https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/asus-z690-proart-creator-wifi-thunderbolt-4-i7-12700k-amd-rx-6800-xt.318311/post-2380825

    Asus X670E Gene EFI -- Adaptable to Other X670, X670E, B650 and B650E Boards

Some questions and comments: Which version of macOS are you running? Was OpenCore 0.9.1 working? If so, do you still have a copy of it? The kernel quirk DisableIoMapperMapping is not needed on AMD platforms. It's okay to enable the checkbox as you've done, but it won't make any difference. It...

Looks perfect... Does hot plug work?

Please try the attached SSDT. We also need to include SSDT-DTPG.aml (also attached). After adding both SSDTs, reboot the system and post IOReg file once again so I can verify the outcome.

    Ryzen 7000 Testing

Please run IORegistryExplorer and post the IOReg file (File -> Save As...). I can modify the Thunderbolt SSDT based on that.

Hello @rexxver, Have you bridged the top and middle pins of the vertical 5-pin J1 header? That will power up the card. We also need a Thunderbolt SSDT, which we can grab from https://hackindrom.zapto.org

Unfortunately that card won’t work. We tried unsuccessfully to flash its firmware. The only card worth getting is the GC-Titan Ridge from Gigabyte.

Yes that is the right card. They are getting harder to find now.

Yes those ports are usable, but Thunderbolt devices must be connected to the system prior to boot because hot plug does not work.

Not. Going. To. Happen. :) :) A substantial network and home A/V upgrade project is ongoing, which has created a (temporary) mess and holes in various walls. Once that is done I just may post a desk picture... https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/truenas-and-other-custom-nas-builds.325783/page-8

    Ryzen 7000 Testing

Your best option is a GC-Titan Ridge from Gigabyte. This card is also easy to flash if necessary. GC-Titan Ridge cards are getting difficult to find so if you have Thunderbolt 1 and Thunderbolt 2 devices that cannot be replaced with Thunderbolt 3/4 versions, then a GC-Titan Ridge may be the...

    Ryzen 7000 Testing

For the Intel version of the board (Asus Z690 ProArt Creator), Asus provided a special BIOS 9901 that rolls Thunderbolt back to NVM31. I don't know if Asus will create a similar version for Asus X670E ProArt Creator...
