    Wi-Fi speed test: Intel AX200 vs BCM94360NG

Thanks for the detailed write-up, I did all the same. The strangest part is that Hackintool shows iMessage keys and yet messages won't go through.

I'm in a "TKL for life". Plus this is the only slim model that caters for macOS as well as Windows, so pretty much the only game in town (apart from total custom)

Complete mess, due to ongoing test of a new build for Sonoma and with new microphone.

    Wi-Fi speed test: Intel AX200 vs BCM94360NG

I have now focused on comparing the Monterey builds, which are both using same Airportitlwm.kext 2.2.0 Both are using itlwm_cc=RS bootarg. iCloud sync is working on both machines. Display of Wi-Fi info in SysInfo is identical for both: Both machines have Ethernet showing as en0 and built-in...

    Wi-Fi speed test: Intel AX200 vs BCM94360NG

OK, this is getting interesting... AX200 on Gigabyte B550-I Aorus Pro AX 1.0 instantly logged-in into Messages. Works perfectly. AX200 on Asus ROG Strix B550I logs in super slow, can't send any messages. Tried Asus with Monterey and Sonoma, Gigabyte only with Monterey. It's not the OS...

    Wi-Fi speed test: Intel AX200 vs BCM94360NG

That's awesome, so there's hope. :) Will keep digging, something else is an issue then...

Microphone working on AMD, with AppleALC.kext

I sent him an email along with a comment, urging him to do a PR. Will see...

    Wi-Fi speed test: Intel AX200 vs BCM94360NG

I remembered I had half-working Monterey build on my son's computer, also with Strix B550I and Intel AX200. Updated that build to OC 0.9.6 and using 2.2.0 Monterey version of Airportitlwm, it behaves exactly the same — Messages logs in but message sending timeouts. Literally identical behavior...

    Wi-Fi speed test: Intel AX200 vs BCM94360NG

In all my tests, Messages start sending then blue progress bar appears, gets to near the end and just stays there. This is all on Sonoma, the only build I have with Intel card. Was this — Messages/FaceTime + Intel WiFi — working for anyone in BigSur, Monterey or Ventura..?

Microphone working on AMD, with AppleALC.kext

Here's the source code branch from where I compiled the .kext. Nothing really specials, the branch is current master from acidanthera/AppleALC and then merged the master branch from qhuyduong/AppleALC. Then followed steps to add MacKernelSDK and Lilu.kext + link the mentioned library. It...

Microphone working on AMD, with AppleALC.kext

Yeah, this audio is just fine. It's rather perfect actually, considering you just pointed a mic into a speaker. I had Deity V-Mic D4 for months now and was unable to use it on the main build, only occasionally on my old MacBook Pro. Curious fact about that mic, which has USB-C port on itself...

Microphone working on AMD, with AppleALC.kext

I think I have about 20 or so browser tabs, 2/3 are from Casey on various forums 😅 I'm just done with preparing codec dump from Ubuntu Live (which was another first for me) so will see which one of the existing layouts most resembles my own. This is what it looks like in PinConfigurator as...

Microphone working on AMD, with AppleALC.kext

This is likely universal fix, for any AMD board (or at least B550 chipset). I have not seen anything that specifically targets 1220 sound chip.

Microphone working on AMD, with AppleALC.kext

I'm not sure did I just discover hot water but...from @CaseySJ post from last December, I assumed that no-mic-on-AMD is still the case in AppleALC.kext land. While researching further, mainly to figure out how to do Realtek HDA codec-dump for my builds, I encountered a post of Discord that lead...

Ryzen 7000 Testing -- Table of Contents

I read through "Fixing Microphone" links. Did anything usable come out of it..? I was always under the impression that mic input is doomed on AMD-based hackintoshes thus I'm not sure did you find a way to enable it in AppleALC or is that still a bridge too far.

    6650XT No hardware acceleration

What does VideoProc tells you..? Open it (dismiss whatever popups if throws at you), go to Setting (bottom right corner) then check Hardware accelerate engine and tap Options button next to it. It will run a series of tests and then check whatever it found as working. This is on my build...

    Wi-Fi speed test: Intel AX200 vs BCM94360NG

I am occasionally trying Messages / FaceTime, to see would it work, as I continue to fiddle with this build. Thus one thing I did last night was: moved my custom USB map kext before the Ethernet / Wi-Fi / Bt kexts. (Read a random post that it might influence something around iServices.) After...

    Wi-Fi speed test: Intel AX200 vs BCM94360NG

Yep, works great. Bluetooth too. GenSMBIOS, checked validity, replaced all 4 elements. I honestly think this is Apple being smart-ass. Like when they ask for the passcode from one of my oldest test iPhones because that one passcode is what encrypts the data in iCloud instead of the iPhone I...

    Wi-Fi speed test: Intel AX200 vs BCM94360NG

This is a test build to figure out if AX200 is viable, I don't care much about it. So I can try anything. So generated entire new set of serials, logged-in back into iCloud, data / files syncing etc. But here — it picks up the iCloud account and tries to logs into iMessage...forever. Super...

    Wi-Fi speed test: Intel AX200 vs BCM94360NG

I believe I checked everything. en0 is present, marked as built-in, taken by Ethernet. Wi-Fi is en1, also built-in. SMBIOS is fine, I used it previously for another build and with 94360NG. That build is now disbanded, thus not used. Maybe I need to generate an entirely new set of SMBIOS params...
