Mac OS install on AMD Ryzen/INTEL (VMWare) Opencore - Improved Performance - Works with Tahoe / Sequoia / Sonoma / etc

Part 1 is not there just for convenience. It provides links to versions of the VMware software that work with the macOS VM creation process.

You can update the VMware application after getting your macOS VM up and running.

I gave it a try, and I was able to update from Tahoe 26.3 to 26.6.
I followed the same procedure as for Tahoe 26.3. After booting up, I ran:

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 26.6

in Terminal.
Once the download completed successfully, I launched the installer and followed the on-screen instructions. When the VM rebooted into OpenCore, I selected the macOS Installer entry and let the installation proceed.
The installer initially showed com.apple.BuildInfo.preflight.error 21, but after rebooting and selecting my usual macOS disk, the update had completed successfully.
The system is now running Tahoe 26.6, and so far everything is working fine.
Thank you.
