Mac OS install on AMD Ryzen/INTEL (VMWare) Opencore - Improved Performance - Works with Tahoe / Sequoia / Sonoma / etc

I can't seem to update to 15.7.1. It will download but fail upon installation. How do I download the update as an ISO that I can mount and install?

It looks like the system update is not seeing the 15.7.1 update and I have to trigger it from the App store.

Same issue with 15.6 here (no update available). Managed to trigger it from here: https://apps.apple.com/au/app/macos-sequoia/id6596773750?mt=12 After 'Get'ing that, it showed an update through Software Update.

This torrent link works - your ddns doesn't support HTTPS, and changed port to 8090: http://hackintosh-images.ddns.net:8090/macos/Sequoia_15.5.torrent.zip

Strange, my Sequoia 15.4 beta won't auto-upgrade to 15.5 (doesn't show it as an available upgrade). I'll download the ISO - the hackintosh-images URL doesn't work right now though, so I'll have to try my luck with Mega. From there, I can mount the ISO and do an in-place upgrade from within the VM?

On the topic of network - for some reason (after I changed to your latest disk image), I lost network connectivity in NAT mode. Bridge mode works.

I just downloaded the 8 core image - Kexts folder still seems to have VirtualSMC and VoodooHDA files. Should these no longer exist?

Thanks. Downloaded it, copied it and booting it up now! ... and I'm at the desktop.

If using the pre-built setups, do I still need the github AMD Vanilla step? I assume that it is already included in it?

Where do I get the kernel patches, and how do I apply them? (I'm still stuck with no audio output, I gave up)

So, to confirm: Delete AppleALC.kext put VoodooHDA.kext in /Library/Extensions Run ProperTree, OC Snapshot, save ??? Done!

I also noticed my audio doesn't work - no audio output devices are shown. Will following this guide be the way to get audio output device? Do I need to specify a sound card in VMware settings?
