Took forever but finally updated past Ventura!

I'm sorry to say there is no longer an EFI for this machine. Bios update rendered it unable to boot any combo of OC/macOS. This is still my main rig but it only runs Linux Mint now.

MountEFI does not work with Sequoia.

This machine has been resurrected! Latest config is in my sig now. Went back to this one since a BIOS update borked my A520 build. This has been updated to OC 1.0.1 and The latest Ventura macOS.

Since I borked the A520 Hack, I updated this one to OC 1.0.1 and updated from Monterey to Ventura. All kexts were updated to current versions along with kernel patches prior to the OS upgrade.

Tried that, followed Slice's instructions to the letter. after 6 hours of trying to get Voodoo.kext to load I gave up. Moot point now since I updated my bios for the first time in 4 years and now macOS is very sluggish, spinning beach balls everytime I click on anything or start typing...

Well, can't get sound working at all on Sequoia. AppleALC loads, but no working layout id's, and VoodooHDA I can't get to load at all - spent a whole day trying. Back to Sonoma for me, will be the last macOS I will run it looks like.

I have gone thru this process 3 times, still no sound on my system, hope you have better luck than me!

My Asrock card has always worked without any issues.

Apple never used them and never will, therefore no drivers exists for those GPU's. Apple will not support any new hardware not based on their own design going forward.

Well pretty much had it all working under beta 1 except bluetooth. So today I installed beta 2, now no blutooth, no wifi, and no sound! LOL, that' why it's called a beta! Got wifi using heliport, still no sound or bluetooh. Installed kexts:

You need a supported graphics card.

Updated to Release 14.5 and OC 1.0.0, no changes needed. I did have to disable Ryzen power management and wifi/bluetooth kexts to get process to complete thru software update,

My browser of choice is Brave. Based on chromium but without a lot of the dubious features. I have not had any of those warnings.
