Update from 14.3.1 to 14.4
I do. Granted, it's a build with Intel WiFi/Bt and I225V Ethernet which is unstable, so I disabled all of that prior to the restart and it still reboots pretty soon in the loading progress bar. No idea what is happening (file logs show nothing) and I pretty much gave up, spent way too much...- atanvarno

That's interesting, thanks for sharing. Not applicable to my hardware but good stuff. There is every chance that things will break somewhere. Is the macOS the same on both machines? Sonoma makes a huge difference. You mentioned USB-C to HDMI and also DP 1.4 thus it's not clear to me over which of those you got 120Hz 4K SDR. If this Hackintosh has Ventura, I doubt either of those two truly gave you 120 Hz 4K SDR. DP1.4 4K SDR goes...- atanvarno

I am running OC 0.9.8 with macOS Sonoma 14.3.1. OpenCore itself is certainly not an issue. Most likely culprit — if anything is amiss — is WiFi drivers.- atanvarno

For whatever reason, native .dext driver in macOS Sonoma (currently on 14.3.1) won't work with I225-V on Asus ROG Strix B550I Gaming. I tried pretty much anything and it simply does not work. I wrote in the first post I have removed SSDT, boot-arg and kext. Re-checked Device Properties to make sure nothing references Ethernet NIC. Regarding BIOS, I tried with IOMMU on/off and/or SVM Mode (CPU virtualization) on/off. No difference in behavior.- atanvarno

Current Sonoma versions (I have 14.3.1) should support Intel I225-V Ethernet NIC out of the box. I have that working with MacAbe's SSDT + AppleIntelI210Ethernet_i225v.kext + e1000=0 boot-arg but would love to remove all that and use native .dext. Microphone working on AMD, with AppleALC.kext
The entirety of OpenCore and AMD hackintosh looks to be patch and workaround fest. At least to me. Thus I'm confused why would this one be considered different than the rest. I've been running it on 3 different builds, noticed 0 issues. It really does work great. -
