Whenever I try to shut down or sleep with the physical power button macos doesn’t listen to it, how do i fix this?

Check how you have the power options set in your system Bios. If you have changed anything power related from their defaults, reset them. Do you have the power options set set to power off the system immediately or after a 4-second delay?

Are you using any third-party kexts or patches to ‘fix’ this issue, maybe you should disable them and see if they are causing the issue?

Ensure the power switch cables connecting to the motherboard are fully seated on the pins.

Yeah I usually have ErP on and I disabled it but nothing changed, i’m not using any other kexts or patches and the power switch cables are connected and it’s not a power and sleep problem as choosing those inside macos works. Also if i hold the power button it does turn on off but it force shuts off and doesn’t do it the way windows does it with a command to shut off from inside the os.
