Coming from a fully functioning Sequoia install on the above hardware, my attempt at booting a Tahoe USB hangs at "Deferred rematching count 3".

I've created a Tahoe install USB the usual way - downloading the installer, then 'createinstallmedia' onto a 32GB drive, MyVolume. I then mount the EFI partition and copied over my working Sequoia EFI folder, removing/disabling the UTBMap.kext, as well as WEG, AppleMCEReporterDisabler and AMDRyzenCPUPowerManagement kexts.

Kexts in place are: Lilu, VirtualSMC, RestrictEvents, NootRX. I've tried with and without USBMap (created using the 'USBMap-tahoe-test' script), NootRX and RestrictEvents. All kexts are the latest versions, supposedly updated for Tahoe.

I've also updated to the latest AMD beta patches in config.plist (26 children), and edited them for my 8-core CPU (B8080000 0000 etc.).

Boot args: keepsyms=1 debug=0x1000 -v alcid=15 unfairgva=1 -lilubetaall npci=0x3000

...but I've tried various different boot args without success.

My (anonymised) config.plist is attached to see if any of you have any suggestions / ideas & thanks in advance.

[SOLVED]

I used the EFI kexts from EdHawk's post (https://forum.amd-osx.com/threads/clean-install-tahoe-asus-tuf-strix-x570-f-gaming.6134/), with my existing config.plist (boot args = keepsyms=1 unfairgva=6) and USBMap.kext, as well as NootRX instead of WEG, and Tahoe installed fine.

I'm still not sure what the previous issue was, but all good now!

The only thing to do is disable file vault / encryption, since I didn't see an option to avoid it on install.
