Hi guys

I am currently making my first hackintosh build and went through all the guidance in the https://dortania.github.io/ guides.

However when I try to boot from my USB (made from macrecovery on a windows) after the verbose, my screen just turns black and my monitor goes into standby (e.g. not detecting output). My GPU does work on my windows partition. I do not have a iGPU unfortunately.

What I've tried:
  • Removing WhateverGreen and re-Snapshotting the OC via ProperTree
  • Adding the agpdmod=pikera arg to boot

This is the OpenCore Boot Menu - not showing "Mac OS" before booting into the verbose, but I was told this shouldn't be the issue. Just adding this for good measures.

I've attached a few of the opencore logs, hopefully someone can use that to help me as well.

My build:
| [CPU][Intel Core i9-9900KF 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor]
| [Motherboard][Asus TUF Z390-PLUS GAMING (WI-FI) ATX LGA1151 Motherboard]
| [Memory][Kingston KHX3000C15D4/8GX 8GB x4 (32 GB Total)]
| [Storage][Western Digital Blue SN570 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive]
| [Video Card][Sapphire Pulse RX 6800]

As I've said, I tried to follow the guidance as thoroughly as possible. But it is my first hackintosh and it is very confusing at times :-D

I hope someone can help me! I would really appreciate it :)

Thanks in advance,

Is CSM disabled in your BIOS? Do you have VirtualSMC? Arttach your EFI.

Hi ExtremeXT.

I tried disabling the CSM but then I can't boot into windows. However I did it once again just for testing, and it gave me the same problem. See latest log file. I have attached my BIOS of the CSM. As I understood CSM disabled was not a requirement to get this to run. (This picutere is after I re-enabled it so I could answer this post in windows)

I have also uploaded my EFI here.

Through my Macbook Pro i have just downloaded a full installer of MacOS Ventura - would it make sense to use this instead? However due to the output not even showing I'm not sure if this is even the issue.
