Hey @Dasboot5 , I'm curious what @Edhawk has to say as well. It looks to be very similar to the solutions posted about here https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...plehda-fully-working-under-tahoe-26-x.332849/ but without the GUI App.
I have not had much success with the Experimental Fork of OCLP 3.0.0 except on my intel systems. On various AMD systems it will hang on boot using the needed kexts and tweaks. If there is a working solution I'd of course be interested, still on Sequoia othewise
No I don't, as this post was the first I has seen of this OCLP/Python app. I didn't know it existed before today. The app/fork of OCLP was developed by someone I don't follow and tend to take his offerings 'with a large pinch of salt', i.e. some scepticism.
Looking through the repository it appears to be what is stated on the GitHub page, a simple text (think Corpnewt's gibMacOS) app, written in python that allows the user to select which Root patches are to be applied, the option to revert to a Sealed Volume (very important) if the patches mess up your system. All offered as a simple numbered list.
I've not tried it on any of my systems, yet. Give me a day or so and I may have something worth writing about.
Edhawk, I value your opinions and feedback; however, LG was involved with OCAT remotely, which is widely praised and used. OCAT Integration: The developer of OCAT integrated G L’s base configurations directly into the software's built-in database. When you use OCAT to automatically generate a clean EFI folder for a specific processor, the software often relies on presets based on Luchina's original work...... Not defending him or his work.
That is another app I don’t use (OCAT). Simply never seen the need to dumb down the EFI creation and editing, which can be done with the OC Release folder and ProperTree.
GL was I believe banned from Tonymacx86’s site due to some suspect money spinning links and non-vanilla recommendations. I recall giving him short answers and being less than pleased with his repeated referrals to other, paid links/sites, when I was the Mod on the (now defunct) Hackintosh.com site. I am sure he has a good side, but my initial thoughts were less than complimentary and they haven’t seen anything yet to change them. Maybe this RP-CORE script will change my mind!
