Hey guys,
First of all, I would like to thank all the developers so far for helping us newbies with all the fixes. I have written this thread because I require EFI for my laptop. I am very new to this Hakintosh thing and spent countless hours already trying to build an EFI so that I could try Ventura on my Laptop.
My specs are as follows:
System Model: Asus TUF Gaming A15 FA506QM
CPU: AMD RYZEN 9 5900HX With Vega 8 IGPU
Dedicated GPU: NVIDIA GTX 3060
RAM: 16 GB 3200 MHZ
Thank You

The kernel panic above is where the PCI devices start being loaded.
  1. As you have an AMD Integrated graphics processor (the Nvidia card won't work in macOS) you should not be using WhateverGreen.kext.
  2. You need to replace this with NootedRed.kext, which is designed for AMD IGPU's.
  3. Your config lacks CPU core count settings in the Kernel > Patch section of your config.plist. This is essential for any AMD system. Are you sure you read the Ryzen OC guide?
    1. Your config.plist requires the first four patches to be amended to match the number of cores in your CPU, which in your case is '8'.
  4. Are you sure you have an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX in your system, as the specification for your laptop on Asus support page says it contains a Ryzen 7 5800H CPU.
  5. Do you have a Broadcom WiFi/BT card installed in your laptop, or the original MediaTek WiFi/BT card?
    1. If the later then you don't need any of the bluetooth or WiFi related kexts that are currently present in your setup.
    2. The MediaTek WiFi/BT card won't work in macOS.
    3. You need to replace it with a compatible Broadcom or Intel Wifi/BT card.
  6. Your laptop contains a Realtek RTL8111H Ethernet controller so most of the ethernet kexts you have added to your setup are useless.
  7. You are lacking any and all kexts required for the i2C devices and your keyboard/trackpad to work in macOS.
  8. The boot arguments in your setup are nonsense. You don't need watchdog=0, agdpmod=pikera or either of the Intel i225 Ethernet arguments.
  9. You will need to add these boot arguments:
    1. -wegnoegpu
    2. revblock=media
  10. You need to use a system definition for an Apple MBP, not a desktop system. NootedRed recommends MacBookPro16,3 SMBIOS.
  11. I would recommend you use the Release version of OpenCore, as you are less likely to mess up the SMBIOS data input, as there are less entries required compared to the Debug version.

Post a photo showing the kernel panic. That is the only way I can have any idea what is happening to cause the kernel panic.

I should have told you to use the ResetNvramEntry.efi driver before you tried booting with the new EFI folder.
  1. When you arrive on the OpenCore boot screen press the Spacebar.
  2. This will unhide some drivers.
  3. Select the ResetNvramEnrty.efi icon.
  4. This will reset the system NVRAM, clearing any old entries and will automatically reboot the system.
  5. Now the system will boot with the settings in the new EFI folder.

Hey sorry for the late reply,
I exactly did what you told me to do and I'm still getting the memory panic.

Did you find Above 4G Decoding option, how is this set?
Did you find ResizeBar option, how is this set?

Do you know if your laptops motherboard uses a B550 or A520 chipset? You should be able to tell which Chipset it uses when you boot in to Windows and check the Device Manager options for the main system.

Can you post a photo of the Verbose text that is shown before the part you posted above. It might have more information and tell us which ACPI (SSDT) is causing the kernel panic.

Hey,
I have no ResizeBar or the 4G Decoding option in my bios at all, I have upgraded, tried resetting nothing works.

I also found no documentation online telling me that if it is a B550 or a A520 motherboard.

It's a Asus Tuf Gaming A15 with Ryzen 9 5900HX and a RTX 3060 graphics card - FA506QM

I had trouble saving logs since I'm on the release version of the opencore I guess so here im sharing a few snippets that I could take from a slow motion video.

Thank you so much for putting in your time in this I really want this to work. I'm kinda new to this hakintosh thingy so I might be doing some dumb mistake 😔
