I was active in the OSx on AMD scene a few months back, but due to frustration I gave up and moved on. But recently from using the family Mac I have been more inclined in getting OSx on my machine. What first steps would you recommend to get myself started up?

Your choice either is good as far as I'm concerned.

How would I work out what usb drivers I need ? Or shall I go with the first one and just try it out ?

Go with the first and give it a go, can always go back.

Getting to the post install, I'm not sure what drivers and so on to install or remove. And is it better to install nvidia drivers and bootloader in the same "xlnc" command?
