Hi everyone,

I know this may be a stupid question, but I was just curious: is it possible to run macOS fully off a flash drive? I was wondering because I already have Windows installed on my system and wanted to see what I could do without having to wipe Windows off my HDD or get a whole other one.

Just make sure its in a USB 3 port and you should be ok. I ran several versions on an external drive for a while with no problems.

Yes. Get the fastest USB Flash Drive you can afford. Sandisk Extreme is quite fast, at least the speed of a good spinning disk. Use USB 3 port only. Usb 2 is really slow.
