General chat and support for running on a Virtual Machine.

Thanks!!
- I attached the VMWare Tools I was talking about.
- Also, When I run Cinebench in the virtual machine for the CPU I get a detriment in performance compared to Windows that are similar to a virtual machine running on Intel, circa 7/8%
But the OpenGL test within the AMD virtual machine fails while in the intel machine it doesn't (both PC (AMD/Intel) running with the same graphic card installed).
Is this because I'm using this alternative VMWare tools or OpenGL is meant to not work with AMD machines?

Thanks.

Is probably the modified AMD kernel thats causing the issue, thank for the VMWare tools!

Too bad...because the AMD virtual machine feels a bit slow processing graphical loads, even the most elementary ones.
Is there a chance that will be working int he future?

You're welcome, hope you can use them for something useful.

Was reading about VirtualBox at page 6 of this thread...
Does it run without graphical glitches?
Does it run better?
Can you resize it?
Can it run on the same virtual disk or have I to create an entirely new machine?
Thanks a lot!!

Runs about the same, no graphic glitches, never figured out how to resize it. VirtualBox doesn't make additions for mac os.

Thanks, I try Virtual Box too.
Can I use the current disk created in VMWare?
Also, I added the flag you suggested to the org.chameleon.boot.plist file and I get the apple logo appearing sooner, but still I have to select the boot partition prior to that.
Is there a way to immediately boot to the OS partition?

Yes you can use the VMDK with VBox, I'll look to see if there's another option for enoch

Try adding the Kernel Flag
Code: Select all
"Quiet Boot"=Yes
