Hi everyone,

I have been trying to install Sierra AMD v5 on my system:

FX-8350
Asus r9 280
Gigabyte 970A-UD3P

However, the install hangs early on, and the log reads:

Extracting file:///System/Installation/Packages/BaseSystemResources.pkg (destination=/Volumes/SSD/.OSInstallSandboxPath/Root, uid=0)

If anyone can give me some advice with this it would be much appreciated!

It can take sometimes up to 4 hours or overnight to copy it, if your using USB 2. Just let the install run.

I think it does work. I can't install Sierra as my build is old. But I thought El Capitán was stuck too but opening the log I found that Extracting BaseSystem and Essentials was taking very long.

Sorry to bump on a 4 month old thread. Just wanted to share my experience
