Tutorials for the installation and post install.
#38410

To begin use Transmac to restore the HighSierraV3Unofficial.dmg file to a USB drive, the USB drive needs to be at least 8GBs in size. This tutorial by Shaneee covers using Transmac to restore dmg images to USB: http://forum.amd-osx.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1213. Once you have the image restored you want to boot off the USB drive. You want to select HighSierraAMD to begin. If you get a Waiting on Root Device message, move the USB to a different port for a few seconds to see if the install continues. If it does not then keep moving ports until it does.

Set your SATA ports to AHCI

If you don't have Clover installed here are some tutorials for different install types depending on your hardware and installation choices. You want to do this while booted off the USB to desktop. You can find the Clover EFI Installer in the Clover Files folder on the Installation USB or you can download Clover EFI from here:
Code: Select all
https://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/
Clover Configurator is included on the Install USB in the Clover Files folder to use.

My SSDs and their partitions aren't showing up. What do I need to get them to show up in the disk format utility? I have a PNY SSD2SC24 SSD.

I checked that apfs.efi is already in this image. The rest of my drives show up. :(

I got it to work. I had to convert my extra SSD to a GPT partition in Windows first. Then, it showed up in the list.

This guide works perfectly, but since some of the videos have been removed for Clover, I figured out how to boot without the USB flash drive by following step 6 from here (https://hackintosher.com/guides/macos-h ... lkthrough/):
STEP 6: CONFIGURING THE EFI PARTITION
Now that we’re in macOS we want to be able to load macOS without the USB flash drive plug. To be able to boot macOS from the drive it’s installed on the folder in the EFI partition of the flash drive needs to be copied over to the EFI partition of the boot drive.

Open Clover Configurator
Mount the EFI of the Flash Drive
Press Open EFI or navigate to the EFI location in finder
Copy the EFI Folder onto your desktop
Open Finder and Eject the Flash Drive
Using Clover Configurator Mount the EFI of the Disk
Press Open EFI or navigate to the EFI location in finder
Paste the EFI over the existing EFI on the disk
Select Replace when it prompts you with a menu saying that the folder EFI already exists
I still haven't figured out how to clean up the boot options in Clover, or boot to my legacy Windows partition from Clover, but at least it works! I can just switch between drives I want to boot in the bios for now.

Thank you so much for this detailed guide!

EDIT:
Is there a way to fix the graphics glitches / background colors? I have an Nvidia video card. Attached is a screenshot:

Is this guide accurate for installing Nvidia drivers?

https://hackintosher.com/guides/properl ... rra-10-13/

EDIT:

Got it all working! The above linked guide (https://hackintosher.com/guides/properl ... rra-10-13/) is partially incorrect. NEVER ENABLE SIP with this image! Here's all I had to do:
1. Set config.plist for Nvidia

Mount your EFI partition using Clover Configurator to begin the changes necessary changes to enable Nvidia cards in High Sierra. Here we just need to verify the proper checkboxes are set.

Open Config.Plist using Clover Configurator
In Clover Select Boot under SECTIONS
Uncheck nv_disable=1
Select Graphics under SECTIONS
Uncheck Inject Intel
Select System Parameters under SECTIONS
Check Inject NvidiaWeb
Save config.plist
Exit Clover Configurator

2. Install the Drivers

In order to install the proper version of the Web Drivers you need to know what version of High Sierra 10.13.x you are using and the (Build Number)

If you are not sure which build of 10.13.X you are using then open About this Mac and click on the text “Version: 10.13” to reveal the number.

See: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201260

Nvidia Web Drivers:

Below is a link with a list of available Nvidia Web Drivers for High Sierra.

Nvidia Web Driver Download Page (https://hackintosher.com/nvidia-drivers/)

3. Run the installer for the drivers. Reboot, and everything works!

I found the solution, you have to run XLNC

Thanks for the guide. I'm finally running my first dual-boot Windows + High Sierra with Clover PC build thanks to it.

I am not sure where to ask however but what is the difference between the Sierra/High Sierra AMD installers and vanilla installers you can get from the apple store?

Thanks! So I finally installed macOS. I'm stuck on the Clover installation. Your video titled, "Installing Clover for UEFI", it says that the video is unavailable... Also do you happen to have Discord?
Use the video for installing UEFI in the tutorial in the first post.
