Tutorials for the installation and post install.
#34981

To begin use Transmac to restore the HighSierraAMD_V2.dmg file to a USB drive, the USB drive needs to be at least 8GBs in size. This tutorial by Shaneee covers using Transmac to restore dmg images to USB: http://forum.amd-osx.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1213. Once you have the image restored you want to boot off the USB drive. You want to select HighSierraAMD to begin. If you get a Waiting on Root Device message, move the USB to a different port for a few seconds to see if the install continues. If it does not then keep moving ports until it does.

The installer has a legacy clover install, so if your bios reports a bootable USB with its regular device name and a UEFI one. You want to boot off the regular named USB stick. If you can't boot or it restarts then apply this fix.

You want to mount you USB drives EFI partition following this tutorial: http://forum.amd-osx.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=3538

Then copy the below file to USB/EFI/Clover/drivers64UEFI:
Code: Select all
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yjVVZddnvvfYcf5ha9JCH5LOw1-894RP/view?usp=sharing
Then reboot off USB and you should be ok.

Follow the tutorial except for the third boot when you boot to your hard drive for the first time. You want to go to Options - Configs and choose the config_injectATI and add your FakeID to Options - Graphics Injector.

This tutorial will help you figure out your fake ID : http://forum.amd-osx.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2976. This should get you to the desktop.

Now follow the tutorial for installing clover, once installed open the EFI/Clover folder with Clover Configurator. Now mount the EFI partition of the USB Installer. Copy the Kexts from EFI/Clover/Kexts/10.13 to your EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other folder. Now copy the configs from EFI/Clover to your EFI/Clover. Now rename config_InjectATI.plist to config.plist and edit it with clover configurator to add your fake ID and reboot without the USB installer plugged in.

If you don't have Clover installed here are some tutorials for different install types depending on your hardware and installation choices. You want to do this while booted off the USB to desktop. Download Clover from here:
Code: Select all
https://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/
Also download clover configurator because you're going to need to copy some files between the EFIs as well. You download CC from here:
Code: Select all
http://mackie100projects.altervista.org/download-clover-configurator/

See this tutorial for installing clover:. viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1613

Installing Clover to a partition with no EFI

http://forum.amd-osx.com/viewtopic.php? ... 494#p31494

Install Extra drivers for Clover with Clover Configurator

Once you have Clover installed you want to copy the configs and kexts from the USB Installer. Download Clover Configurator and go to the Mount EFI section. Click mount on the USB and Open, click mount on your drive and Open. Now you want to copy USB Installer/EFI/Clover/Kexts/10.13 to Your drive/EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other. Now you want to copy USB Installer/EFI/Clover/*.plist to Your drive/EFI/Clover/*.plist. If you have an NVIDIA card you want to rename NVWeb.plist to config.plist. Radeon users have several options depending on how they have their card working. Most importantly if you have an SSD thats been upgraded to APFS, you want to copy USB Installer/EFI/Clover/driver64UEFI/apfs.efi to Your drive/EFI/Clover/drivers64UEFI.

Ok,
so I reboot, select USB EFI, boot off HighSierra AMD and the PC crashes going into a reboot right after the many "+++++++++++..."
#35085
It's a good installer I just used it to make a vm
#35091
sure, but it doesn't boot on my machine...it probably needs some clover adjustments
#35092
try some
#35097
ok it’s happening!
solution was to use my own boot disc clover, from which to run the USB installer when needed and to boot from the partition created by postinstall. Such partition now finally shows up!

Same here, but my SSD is clean.

How can I be sure if it's a wrong setting on BIOS? It also reboots itself?
I have the same mobo as you, it seems that ASRock is a little twisted on the configuration.
