the same model (hero) or a MSI CArbon WIFI

Pls keep us updated if the new Hero works

I'll keep my x670e hero till then 😁
I'm a little interested, similar to Fabiosun, but for the additional cost and lack of any exceptional features it's not hard to wait.

10g on these board/or thunderbolt would allow me to potentially run avid carbon! I cant wait to see if this can work in amd mac ox...with the 98003d...Could be the top of the line to run a daw on!

I have a ASUS 10g card in my intel 390 and its working, I need to run a uad card, a rme pci (for windows boot) and gpx game card as well. There are not enough pci slots to run all the cards I use for audio on these new motherboard because of m2 slots being so popular.

An onboard NIC needs lanes just like an add-on card…
Use adapters to convert these M.2 slots into PCIe slots.
Or, if you're really out of lanes, go for Xeon Scalable or Threadripper rather than consumer CPUs.

goood idea thanks!

Which one?
Anyway, if you detail your need (cores, clock, number and nature of drives, number and nature of PCIe slots…) we can help you find suitable motherboards while avoiding cable spaghetti as much as possible.

That would be:
UAD PCIe x1 (?)
RME PCI = ? (I'm not in audio; is that "PCI" as in "legacy PCI", not PCIe?)
GPU PCIe x16 (or at least x8)
NIC PCIe x4
at least one x4 for OS obviously, do you need extra drives for storage/scratch?
… not yet beyond what consumer-class motherboards/CPU can provide

I ordered an ASUS x870e Pro art....i will post the result as soon i can
My goal is to put inside a broadcom changing internal wifi as i did for my actual x670e Hero
I choose it for built in ethernet cards :)
I hope it wasnt a bullsH$t choice

yes
Probably a 9800x3d CPU :D

6800gpu
Rme Aio Pcie
Asus 10g Ethernet card
Uad pcie

3 m2s 1 sata hard drive
1 avid carbon that can run in thru direct asus 10g ethernet card or thunderbolt to ethernet adapter on my Z390 DESIGNARE

thanks

Hi

I upgraded my PC to MSI MAG X870 TOMAHAWG WIFI and AMD 9 9950X processor. The price is perfect and the performance is top-notch. I can't wait to start testing MacOs on it as well. It will probably be difficult, but with this community of ours, "nothing is impossible"!

It's definitely the best motherboard for x870E, but it's very expensive and has a lot of things that I'll probably never need....I'm curious how you'll be satisfied

i think the best is Hero x870e
it has a better dissipation design
but here it is about 730 euro

I like also MSI carbon X870e

Proart it is cheaper (on amazon 570 euro) and it has 10Gb ethernet so it is a better choice for hackintosh
i do not like for both only 4 sata port but i am curious (very curious to see it working in my rig)

I think i wont see any differences in performances in my daily use but i like to have and my "old" x670e hero will stay always in my home :)

Super !!! (y)(y)So perhaps I will return the MSI Mag X870 Tomahawk Wifi and buy the ASUS X870E for Art ... There will be more certainty and easier compilation for hackintosh ... What do you mean?

i would do if you can.
©heck my previous message (i have edited for wrong assertion), no ACPI patches need for ProArt Bios :)

Both ethernet work are intel 226v and Aquantia 10Gb
no wifi because it is not supported in Hero i have a broadcom..i will put also there when it comes from dealer
