Hi everyone,

I'm trying to install Tahoe 26.3.2, but the installation process fails during boot. I used the latest EFI that was shared here, but unfortunately I couldn't complete the installation.

Hardware Specifications:

  • Motherboard: ASUS ROG X670E Hero
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D
  • RAM: 64 GB DDR5 6400 MHz G.Skill (2 × 32 GB)
  • Storage: Corsair MP400 2 TB NVMe
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16 GB
What I Tried:

  1. Updated the motherboard BIOS to version 3513.
  2. Reset the BIOS to optimized defaults.
  3. Only adjusted the memory settings and changed the CONTEXT setting, then saved the configuration.
  4. Booted using the EFI provided in this forum.
Issue:
When I boot from the EFI, the system freezes during the boot process. I’ve attached a screenshot of the error/freeze point.

Attachments:

  • My current EFI folder
  • Screenshot of the boot error
If anyone could take a look and guide me on what might be wrong or what I should try next, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

The verbose text in the image above shows a number of ACPI SSDT errors, so the first thing you need to do is look at the SSDT’s you are using, as you probably don’t need them all.

Also check that any ACPI Patches in your config.plist are set to match your system and the associated SSDT.
