Hi everyone,
I’m new to Hackintosh and would greatly appreciate help building a working EFI folder and configuration for my laptop. I’ve tried some prebuilt configs and basic OpenCore setups, but couldn’t get macOS Ventura to install or even boot properly. I’d love if someone with more experience could help me with a proper EFI tailored for my setup.
My laptop specs:
• Model: HP Omen 16-c0xxx
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H (Cezanne, 8 cores / 16 threads)
• iGPU: AMD Radeon Vega 8 (Cezanne, 512MB VRAM, PCIe Gen4 x16 @ x8)
• dGPU: NVIDIA RTX 3070 Mobile (disabled in macOS, or ideally not used)
• Audio: AMD HD Audio Controller (PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_15E3&SUBSYS_8912103C&REV_00)
• Wi-Fi: Realtek RTL8852AE WiFi 6 (non-functional in macOS, I’m aware)
• Display: Internal laptop screen, 144Hz
• BIOS: AMI F.24 (2024-05-20)
• SMBIOS: 3.3
• Boot mode: UEFI
• OS I’m targeting: macOS Ventura
• Secure Boot: Disabled
What I need:
• A working EFI and OpenCore config for macOS Ventura.
• Configured for iGPU only (Vega 8), with NVIDIA GPU completely disabled (I know it’s not supported).
• Support for sound, HDMI, and internal display.
• I can live without Wi-Fi for now (I’ll consider replacing the card later).
• If battery percentage is not working — that’s OK.
I’m trying to make this work just to learn macOS and possibly use Xcode and Logic Pro. I’m OK with partial support at this point as long as I can boot and install Ventura stably.
Any help, working EFI, or advice is hugely appreciated
