Hello,

The new system went up nicely, when is the opencore legacy patcher fix expected?

No idea.

But as OCLP deals with numerous Apple systems, fixing just the Broadcom 'Modern WiFi' element won't be a priority. The OCLP Devs will be looking to get the Mac systems Apple have dropped support for running Tahoe first. Our WiFi issues will only be a part of their work.

It took the OCLP Devs approximately 3 months from first Beta release of Sequoia to get a working release in Mid September 2024. More systems have been added to the list of Mac models requiring support for the new OS. So I expect it is going to take longer to get to the same position with Tahoe.

Some patience is require on our part.

I switched from a Broadcom card to the Intel AX210 yesterday. It was just €20,- and everything works with the rights kexts and Heliport. If you don't want to wait, i highly recommend it.

You lose most if not all of the Apple Continuity, Handoff and AirDrop functions when using an Intel WiFi/BT card. Especially when using Itlwm.kext and the Heliport application in place of the Apple WiFi app.

From my previous experience using the Intel WiFi/BT I don’t believe the trade off is that beneficial, I’ll wait for OCLP to be updated and keep using my Broadcom cards and Sequoia as my main OS.
