Are you sure you changed the bios settings back correctly after updating? As far as I know there are no bios updates to AM4 boards that would cause it not to boot. Some AM5 boards that’s true.

Thanks for the reply.

The bios setting is same as before update.
But I think the secure boot item is increasing before update.

You may be the first to update CVE-2024-36877 security issue. I assume you have turned off secure boot and cleared the security keys? If nothing else works have you tried downgrading the bios?

secure boot is off, security key is clear. (my pc is dual boot with windows 11pro and cleared the security key required me to reconfigure my windows account)
I have heard that downgrading bios is risky so I have not tried it yet.

Das Gleiche bei mir. Nach BIOS update (CVE-2024-36877) startet macOS nicht mehr. MSI 570X EDGE.

I think you have two choices, wait for someone more knowledgeable to figure out what the problem is or downgrade. There is always a risk updating the bios, more so in the hackintosh community as updates can break a working system.

Thanks for your support.
I will wait for it to be resolved.

msi motherboard users be careful not to update bios yet.

It could be quite some time but obviously your choice.

Ich denke, es wird alle AMD Motherboards betreffen nach dem Ausrollen des neuen Sicherheit Patches. (CVE-2024-36877)

good afternoon everyone, has anyone managed to solve this problem, even me with my MSI x570s carbon max wifi, I updated the bios to the latest version and now blocked at startup, and honestly it seems to be very important this Bios update precisely for the vulnerability of all. Thanks to everyone.

Hello everyone, I'm having the same problem, is there any progress on a solution?
Not that I'm aware of but not every manufacturer of motherboards has this issue. It seems to be MSI boards that have the bios update problem. What is your setup, what hardware?

Is CSM support enabled? That always gets me EVERY time I update the BIOS. Spend 30 minutes troubleshooting only to smack my head 'cause I forgot yet again, and disable it.
