CPU:
Ryzen 5 1600
My specs:

  • Ryzen 5 1600
  • MSI A320M Pro VS/H
  • 8GB RAM
  • AsRock Radeon 6700XT 12GB

When I try to use WhateverGreen, the installation completes, but the wallpaper is green, and the GPU shows as 7MB. After reading on Reddit, I tried using NootRx, so I replaced the files in the kexts and also updated the config.plist.

Now the Problem is When getting succeed I reboot again and again

If Anyone Know the solution Please Help me

Most likely cause for the KP/reboot is that you are using an SSDT from Olarila, that in all probability contains GPU elements that clash with NootRX.kext.

Second issue is you are using AMDRyzenCPUPowerManagement.kext . The developers of NootRX state that this kext is known to be problematic when using NootRX.kext. Best option is to remove it.

How many Ethernet ports/cards do you have in your system other than the built-in Realtek RTL8111H?
You have 5 x Ethernet kexts enabled in your config.plist, only one of these kexts works with your RealtekRTL8111H port.

The kext highlighted below (v10) is the only now you need.

Having the same issue, I don’t use Olarila nor AMDRyzenCPUPowerManagement, any luck?

Having the same issue with which system/dGPU/EFI.

The kext works if you set your Hack up correctly. It doesn't require luck.

Do you have any DeviceProperties in your config.plist? If yes then you need to remove them as they will clash with NootRX.kext.

You will never get graphics acceleration working with WhateverGreen.kext.

Ed, just incase I'm being a dumbass (probably) my setup in my sig doesn't use NootRX, and just has the flag in my config and whatevergreen (and maybe another kext I've forgotten the name of from the guide, but I think it just uses whatevergreen), anyway, are you saying all this time my RX 6800 isn't using hardware acceleration? Or is that just because of the OP's issue conflicting from using NootRX with whatevergreen?

No I am not saying your RX 6800 isn't using Hardware acceleration as you are using WhateverGreen.kext. Your graphics card is fully supported by WhateverGreen.kext.

However, @victomerta is using an RX 6700 XT, which only works in macOS with NootRX.kext.
They can only boot their system when using WhateverGreen.kext, which results in 7MB being allocated to VRAM (of the 12GB available).
So their system lacks graphics acceleration as WhateverGreen.kext doesn't support the RX 6700 XT dGPU in any way shape or form.
Each time they try to boot using NootRX.kext they get a Black Screen.

This can be caused by a number of things.
  • Having any DeviceProperties in the config.plist while using NootRX.kext is known to cause issues.
  • Having WhateverGreen.kext or NootedRed.kext Plus NootRX.kext in the OC setup at the same time is know to cause issues.
  • Using 'agdpmod=pikera' boot argument with NootRX.kext is not necessary as this boot argument is incorporated in to the kext. Using the Navi Boot Argument with NootRX can cause Black Screen issues.
  • Using a version/release of NootRX.kext that contains errors can cause Black Screen or Kernel Panic.
You have nothing to worry about while using your RX 6800 with WhateverGreen.kext.

Thanks for getting back to me mate :)

Ah wicked, I'd thought it was working properly as it's silky smooth and I've rendered stuff on it and benchmarking etc etc :) Sweet!

Oh yeah, I totally forgot the 6700 XT requires NootRX, I remembered that mine and various others don't. That makes sense now.

Have a good Christmas my fellow Apple EULA violating brother ;) Haha
