Hello,

I have an Asus RoG Zephyrus G14

I would like to install macOS Sequoia.

Does someone have an EFI folder for this PC?

I have currently macOS Sonoma installed but the EFI does not work with Sequoia.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800HS with Radeon Graphics
RAM 16 Go DDR4
NVidia GeForce RTX 3060
SSD NVMe Kingston 4 To

Post a copy of the Whole EFI you are currently using with Sonoma.

It would be better for us to see what you are using and then see what needs changing to work with Sequoia.

Hello,

Here is the EFI that works with Sonoma
Sequoia does not boot at all with this one

It is stuck at the begining

Thank you for your help :)

Your version of OpenCore is too old to run Sequoia, you need to use release 1.0.1 or newer for Sequoia to run.

You also have an old version of the AMD Kernel Patches, there are only 22 x patches in your config.plist. The latest version of the patches for Sequoia contains 25 x patches.

Not sure what the AMD-note.aml table from Olarila is supposed to do, as I can’t open it currently. I can only assume it contains a number of USB & GPU/IGPU fixes.

You should not have any DeviceProperties in your config.plist when you are using NootedRed kext for your AMD Integrated GPU.

AirportItlwm.kext doesn’t work in Sequoia. You need to replace this with the latest version of Itlwm.kext and use Heliport application to get your Intel WiFi card working in Sequoia.

Start by fixing the issues listed above and see where that gets you.

Hello,

I have fixed the issues you listed.

macOS Sequoia boots but there is a Kernel Panic, after validating the root dmg

Here is the modified EFI folder

Try this revised OC folder, see if it gets you any further.

Good to hear you have macOS Sequoia installed.

Don't forget to enable NootedRed.kext in your config.plist, so you see full graphics acceleration on your system, using the AMD IGPU.

You will also need to look at creating an SSDT-Disable-GPU.aml table to disable your Nvidia dGPU. This wasn't part of the OC EFI I created.

Hello,

I have enabled NootedRed.kext in config.plist and create SSDT to disable NVidia dGPU

I have tried to put the computer into sleep mode but it does not work : the screen is black but the computer does not suspend

Have you created a custom USB configuration for your system? If not, sleep won't work till you do.

Hello,

I have not created a custom USB configuration. I will.

When I installed macOS Sequoia with your OC folder, sound was working but now it is not working : do you know what could be the problem?

Not without seeing your current OpenCore EFI. As I don’t know what has been changed/disabled or deleted from the EFI I provided.

Ok. Here is my current OpenCore EFI

I have disabled NVidia dGPU and replace AppleALC.kext with the latest version 1.9.3

Thank you for your help

I can't see anything in your OC folder that would prevent the Audio working, not if AppleALC.kext and alcid=11 are present in your setup, which they are. As those were the settings in the OC setup I provided.

You may need to check that you haven't disabled the Audio device by mistake in the bios.

You should probably remove NullEthernet.kext from your setup, as you have a working Realtek Ethernet controller in your system. This kext is for systems that lack an ethernet controller/post, but Apple expects there to be one as the SMBIOS for the system used would normally contain an Ethernet port.

I use Corpnewt's USBMap python script when creating a custom USB configuration on my AMD systems.

Here is a link to a guide, disregard the instruction to add USBInjectAll.kext, that is for Intel systems not AMD.
