Hi everyone,

I'm seeking advice regarding a boot failure following a BIOS update on my AMD-based Hackintosh.

Hardware Specs:
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9900X (Zen 5)
  • Motherboard: ASUS B850 PLUS WIFI
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 570
  • OS: macOS 15 Sequoia
  • Bootloader: OpenCore (latest version)
The Issue: Everything was working perfectly on BIOS version 1087 (2025/09/19). However, after updating to version 1402 (2025/11/12), the system hangs during the verbose boot process. I have since downgraded back to 1087, and the system is back to being fully functional.

Troubleshooting performed:
  1. Verified BIOS settings after the update: Above 4G Decoding (Enabled), CSM (Disabled), Secure Boot (Disabled).
  2. Confirmed that the EFI is stable on the previous BIOS version.
This seems a bit over my head at the moment, but I am very willing to learn and give it a try if anyone is kind enough to guide me.
I have successfully extracted the DSDT tables for BIOS versions 1087 and 1402 using sysreport. The details are as follows:
Could anyone advise me on what the next steps should be?I would be extremely grateful for any help or direction!
Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
