Patches didn't need updated to run the latest beta, only change to MaxKernel. Use at your own risk. It's beta software and may break.

Note: We don't support beta versions of macOS. Forum sections for Tahoe are open but support is extrememly limited.

Well, I am getting closer. I started with my EFI for an ASUS B850I with a Ryzen 9 9900X and did the following:

1. Upgraded to Opencore 1.0.5.
2. Replaced the kexts with the updated ones posted above.
3. Replaced the patches with the new beta patches on GitHub.
4. Ensured I was using a supported system definition (MacPro7,1).

I got through the installer and now I am in a boot loop. It never makes it to the desktop.

BTW, the modified EFI boots Sequoia 15.5 just fine.

Any help greatly appreciated.

What was the verbose text saying during this hour?

I can only assume it was a repeated message on a counter, like the ‘ramrod’ text that sometimes appears.

Are you using AppleALC.kext version 1.9.3 or newer?
Are you using alcid=15?

If not do so and see what happens.

Make sure you remove any other audio kexts from your setup, i.e. VoodooHDA.kext or any other boot arguments and device properties from your config.plist.

Remember to use the Reset Nvram entry from the OC boot screen to clear any old NVRAM entries so the new audio entries can be used.

I tried installing Tahoe on my Mac Pro 2019, which is supposedly supported by Tahoe, but I got this error message. Any insight out there?

kernel patch 25.99 + cpu core + map usb + update opencore dev 1.0.5 + dev kext ?
