Also, doing a software update (to 14.7 in this case) causes the update to be stuck, and then the machine is unable to power off (gets stuck on a black screen). Any ideas on how to resolve this?
This is a chronic problem that still has no solution. Perhaps a fix in the Opencore settings. Also, doing a software update (to 14.7 in this case) causes the update to be stuck, and then the machine is unable to power off (gets stuck on a black screen). Any ideas on how to resolve this?
Thanks. Strange that it sometimes works, but sometimes doesn't.This is a chronic problem that still has no solution. Perhaps a fix in the Opencore settings.
I've tried unsuccessfully to solve it. If anyone succeeds, please post it here.
But it doesn't stop you from using it, just close VMWare and when you're ready to use it, open it and start the system again.
Any Apple ID/icloud services?View attachment 15541
much appreciated, got 15.0.1 running on Ryzen 5 2600
only one issue i found is with the background colour the white background still remains when using any other picture apart from Sonoma
我测试出来他是 PS2 键盘设备,已经添加了驱动且可使用Hi,
i have noticed that macOS starts and works much faster in Vmware if you set the guest operating system to Windows 10x64! Unfortunately, the keyboard no longer works properly. It runs i think because OC-EFI pretends to have a Mac hardware environment anyway.

I'll make a new version of opencore tomorrow.Hi,
do someone have the updated VMWare disk image file with new versions of OpenCore ? If not how can I make these myself ?
Thanks !
I've updated Opencore to version 1.0.2 for processors with 4, 6, 8 and 16 cores.

Is there a way to set up drag and drop from the host system into this VM?
Back to myself - if you go to Settings --> Privacy and Security --> Full Disk Access and enable for vmware-tools-daemon, this allows drag and drop. That is why Apple created AirDrop!
You may get around your issue by installing Local Send on both systems and using this application to send and receive files, folders etc.

Sorry for the late reply, was actually working on something else.Any Apple ID/icloud services?
Quite newbie to the whole opencore kext thing - is there a guide on how to do this (or is it worthwhile for the images in the original post to be updated with this, for everyone's benefit? @tucano2000 )?Sorry for the late reply, was actually working on something else.
Add this kext into the opencore EFI/OC/KEXT folder | config.plist -> Kernel -> add
then follow the opencore guide to fix iServices![]()

for the mac address be sure to add a static mac on VMWare under Settings -> Network Adapter -> Advanced
After that its just plug n play honestly:
