Drop-in upgrade from 3700x to 5700x3d?

So I've been using an -amazing- 3700x ryzentosh build (Asus TUF x570 board, rx 5700xt GPU) forever. Decided to build my wife a machine with the old 3700x and drop in a 5700x3d. Should be fine, right?

Well, the good news: Everything boots and runs great.

The bad news: It doesn't frequency boost above the base 3.2 Ghz. Like ever. On any cores. Is there something I need to tweak either in BIOS or a config file?

Edited to add: Running Big Sur and OpenCore .7ish. Yes, I know they're old, but they were stable and I don't mess with what's working.

1. Are you using an SSDT-PLUG.aml table, which was created using your previous DSDT.aml table and CPU?
2. Did you need to update the X570’s bios for the new CPU?
3. Have you looked at generating new custom SSDTs for your system with the new CPU installed?
4. Do you have any DeviceProperties in your config.plist?
5. Have you checked that the IOREG path/address haven’t changed since the new CPU was installed?

Only way we would be able to tell if anything was wrong with your OC setup would be if you post a copy here for us to check.

Just make sure you redact/delete the serial number from your config.plist before you post a copy here.

Yes, that could be an issue.

Just did that, didn't seem to help.

This is kind of part and parcel with the first question, no?

OK. After the BIOS and AGESA updates and like, five reboots and NVRAM clearings, everything is gold. Let this be a lesson to you -- have a Linux partition set aside to do some BIOS updates!
