HELP...

When i replace whatevergreen with nootedred.kext and enabled it on the config.plist, My laptop screen turns off after the verbose phase (mac os still running and caps light respond). But when i disable the nootedred.kext via config.plist, my screen was normal but no graphic acceleration and laggy asf.

Device: Asus TUF FX505DY
Cpu: Ryzen 5 3550h
IGpu: vega 8
Dgpu: RX560X

I've tried:

  • Disabling DGPU via SSDT (bumblebee method)
  • Using various version of nootedred.kext
  • Change smbios to macbookpro16,3 imacpro1,1, ETC (based on the website's instructions)
  • Changed uma buffer size to 2GB via Smokeless.umaf
  • delete deviceproperties entry
  • disabling dgpu via boot-args

Here i attached the EFI and

photo the UI when nootedred is disabled:

If you connect an external monitor to your laptop, when the laptop display goes black, does it show the macOS login screen?

Yes! Connected TV via HDMI Ports everything works normal with graphic acceleration!

That means the NootedRed.kext is working correctly but your internal display is not being initiated. This is a GPU Framebuffer issue, not an issue with your OC EFI per se.

This maybe caused by a number of things, such as using the wrong SMBIOS, having DeviceProperties present in your config.plist, the display connector not being supported by macOS while the external HDMI connector is natively supported.

I am not sure what to suggest to fix this issue.
