Ryzen 5 5600x RX 5500XT ASUS PRIME B550 Ventura 13.4 I am using AppleALC but its not just working. i have a soundcard ALC887 on my motherboard so layouts for this soundcard is 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, 33, 40, 50, 52, 53, 87, 99. i tried them all and only 11, 12, 13 can detect my aux headphones but the sound is still not working. if i put 12 sometimes it cant boot into mac. one time after waiting sometime after boot 12 started working but only headphones started working (without microphone) and after reboot it stopped working.
Aux devices are not working.

Issues with AMD Audio are not uncommon, usually related to the Mic option not working. As far as I am aware there are no AMD specific patches in AppleALC.kext, this is confirmed in the OC Troubleshooting guide linked below.

The only way I know to fix this issue is for you to create a new Layout-ID that is specific to your Asus Prime B550 motherboard and the ALC887 audio codec. Link below for undertaking this process.

Just to confirm that any Layout-ID between #11 & 99 are custom ID's for specific use cases/motherboards or laptops.
The generic Layout-ID's #1-7 are more often than not successful in getting the built-in audio working. But they can have issues with specific outputs.
Below is a link to the Info.plist for ALC887, so you can see what I mean by specific use cases.

Here is a screenshot showing the layout-ID's 11, 12 & 13 from the info.plist. Which tells me that you shouldn't be using Layout-ID 12 for your system, as it is set to work with an Asus Haswell (Intel) motherboard.
