Good evening
is it possible to install monterey
on an asus m5a78l mlx v2 motherboard
I prepared my open core install
but as it is a legacy bios I was not able to boot

It is possible to run Big Sur on your old FX system. Monterey may be a step too far for this old setup. I found Monterey struggled on my Asus Sabertooth 990FX & FX8350 system.

You need to use the /OpenCore-0.9.9/Utilities/LegacyBoot/BootInstall_X64.tool to provide a legacy boot option on your system. You need to select your USB installation drive when you run the BootInstall_X64.tool, so it adds the boot file to the root of the EFI partition.
