Hello friends, this is my 1st AMD OS X build. By using GigaByte 570 WiFi Pro EFI found here, was able to install Big Sur successfully. However, I found my Ethernet is slower on Mac as compared to Windows 11, Linux.

Can somebody help me please?

Things worth to mention:
  • Intel Wifi-AX (AirportItlwm.kext, all working except AirDrop)
  • Bluetooth (IntelBluetoothFirmware.kext, IntelBluetoothInjector.kext all working except AirDrop, bluetooth audio periodical reconnection)
  • Intel NIC211 Lan (SmallTreeIntel82576.kext, slow speed maxed at 160Mbps over 300Mbps connection)
  • Kernel patch to get Higher FPS on 5700XT GPU. (Shaneee - _mtrr_update_action fix PAT - 10.13/10.14/10.15/11.0/12.0)

Internet speed test results:
  • Mac = 160Mbps+ (iperf3 to rounter through LAN is 940Mbit+/sec)
  • Win11, Linux = 268Mbps+ (iperf3 to rounter through LAN is 940Mbit+/sec)

Specs:
  • Gigabyte Aorus X570 Pro Wifi (v1.1)
  • AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
  • 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600 (16GBx2 CL16)
  • Saphire RX 5700XT 8GB
  • AData XPG SX8200Pro 512GB PCIe NVME Gen3

Have you checked the network settings? Check the speed setting for the LAN controller.

Yes Shaneee, checked all the settings, replaced the cable. Im still getting slower connection on Mac (160Mbps) as compared with Windows, Linux (280Mbps+), Im on 300Mbps Fiber internet.

Never mind, I can bear with it, 160Mbps is pretty enough for the normal online stuff.

Thank you Shaneee, downloaded and updated in the kext driver folder, will reboot and test it.
Reboot -> Resetted nvram -> Reboot.

Got 20Mbps increased.
