AMD RX580 not working with Sequoia

I've placed a command for booting, but the system does not recognize the GPU (RX 580).

The command I placed was:

" -v npci=0x2000 alcid=12 revcpu=1 watchdog=0 agdpmod=pikera dk.e1000=0 e1000=0"

This command didn't work, so I changed it to this one instead:

"-v npci=0x2000 alcid=12 revcpu=1 watchdog=0 dk.e1000=0 e1000=0"


If anyone can give me insight into how this could be fixed, it would be appreciated.

The RX 580 normally doesn't require any special fixes or patches to work in macOS including Sequoia, as long as it isn't an RX 580 2048SP card.

All that is normally required for an RX 580 to work in macOS is recent versions of Lilu.kext and WhateverGreen.kext to be in your OC setup.

Questions:

1. What system is this RX 580 installed in to?
2. Which make and model RX 580 are you using?
3. How are you connecting the RX 580 to the Display(s), i.e. which connectors, cable &/or adapters are you using?

If you are using an RX 580 2048SP then it may require a Bios patch before it will work in macOS.

Do not add boot arguments to your config.plist if you don't know what they do. None of the boot arguments you list above would have any bearing on how your RX 580 works in a Hack.

Can you give me the VBIOS or tell me how to acquire it? I couldn't find it anywhere.
I'm using an AMD Radeon RX 580 2048SP

I can't give you a Bios to flash your card. But I can point you to a thread where this service was offered, that's the best I can do for you.

If you have a read through the linked thread you may find someone has the identical RX 580 as you and you can use their patched Vbios.

Make sure you check the current bios you are using and any that you select to use are the same before you flash the card.
