10.15 Catalina VMware USB Mouse/Keyboard not functioning

So as the title says, the USB Mouse/Keyboard isn't working within the macOS VM (VMware 15.5.6 Windows).
I have tried using USB 3.1, 2.0 & 1.1 controllers for the VM with no success, the mouse & keyboard previously worked on the installer and setup screens, but once fully setup and asking to log into user, it has stopped working, I cannot install vmware tools either. I used the unlocker and vmdk images.

I'm kinda out of ideas at this point, I tried pretty much all troubleshooting methods with no success.

Try letting the machine idle (do not touch it) for 2 minutes.
