Same PC, different Geekbench scores between MacOS and Windows

Nothing special running in the background and these are average scores after 10 benchmark runs. Yes it is the same system. Dual boot using OpenCore 0.9.5

Same PC, different Geekbench scores between MacOS and Windows

I found something weird imo. When I run Geekbench on my AMD Ryzen 9 5950X machine, I get different results between MacOS Sonoma and Windows 10. The difference is more then I would expect for the Single core performance. I am running OpenCore 0.9.5 with the latest AMD CPU patches and changed...

Which x570 motherboard is recommended for MacOS?

Currently I have a Gigabyte Aorus x570 Ultra and I am sick of the stability issues with this board. So I am thinking of buying another motherboard. Which x570 motherboard do you recommend? Requirements: minimal two M.2. slots working ethernet port (also on MacOS monterey) STABILITY in general!

    AMD RYZEN 9 Ryzen 9 5950x - X570 Ultra -RX6900XT - Monterey Beta 3 - OpenCore 0.7.7

If you're having revision 1.0 of your motherboard, I assume it is disabled for you. Since there is a hardware issue with Gigabyte x570 Aorus Ultra that WIFI/bluetooth won't work when ERP is enabled.

Never mind. I will continue search for a solution. Thanks for all your help. At least I now understand how to properly map USB ports myself.

    Fix shutdown issue

@Edhawk thanks again for all the time you take to help me. Really appreciate it. I tried the SSDT-EC.aml you provided but unfortunately it does not fix the issue. The machine still restarts after a shutdown. I tried two configurations: Configuration 1: Config file: Corresponding files...

    Fix shutdown issue

I took me a few hours but I succeeded. The Intel WIFI/bluetooth card is removed. Evidence ;): Before: After: The bad news is, it didn't solve the shutdown issue.

    Fix shutdown issue

No, the internal Intel WIFI/BT card is still in place. It is just not accessible at all when ERP is turned on in BIOS (the same is true in Windows). I turned on ERP because otherwise my keyboard backlight will flicker all the time when the PC is shutdown. I attached the ACPI dump.

    Fix shutdown issue

Ah before I forget (maybe it is relevant), there is a known hardware issue with the motherboard I have (Gigabyte Aorus Ultra x570) that the internal WIFI/bluetooth disappears and is not accessible when you enable ERP in the BIOS (also in Windows and other operating systems). More info about...

    Fix shutdown issue

In the meanwhile (before you answered) I already tried something else. I found another XHC.aml version for an almost similar motherboard (https://forum.amd-osx.com/index.php?threads/audiogods-gigabyte-aorus-x570-pro-pro-wifi-ultra-master-big-sur-monterey-beta-opencore-0-7-4-efi.1344/post-6972)...

    Fix shutdown issue

Thanks, I just changed it. Unfortunately, I still facing a restart after shutting down the system. This is the port configuration I currently have: After adding the kext to my OC folder and config.plist file and doing a reboot, I see this when I open Hackintool and clear+refresh the list...

Do I need to change both USB 2.0 hub ports (port 6 and port 16) to port type 0 (so also the one which has a bluetooth device connected according to the mapping tool) ?

    Fix shutdown issue

Answers to your questions: Which of the Ports are associated with the 4 x Physical USB2 ports on the rear I/O plate? I've put the USB 2.0 stick in all the 4 physical USB2 ports and in all 4 scenarios it will be visible for port 16 (the one i've set as internal since it seems an USB2.0 hub)...

What is the benefit of that? Since I can't identify the port type yet. I assume I need to do the mapping again when I plugin new cables to the usb connectors on my motherboard in the future

What should I change in the bios according to you? I checked all the settings multiple times and couldn't find a setting that could trigger this (or I missed something)

    Fix shutdown issue

I don't want to disable ERP, because it will prevent the device will shutdown completely and my keyboard backlight will flicker in that case.

    Fix shutdown issue

@Edhawk, first of all, thanks for the time you take to respond to my issue. I plugged the usb sticks + external ssd in all available usb ports and this is the result (see image) Is this more accurate (including the port types i've set?) I've put the usb-c port device twice in every usb-c...
