Installation Error - error during loading the update

There were a few changes, which one actually made a difference is hard to say. Just happy it worked for you.

    Is this SSD compatible?

Sorry I have no experience with that specific SSD. I have used older Samsung Pro SSD’s in macOS but none from the Evo range. So I can’t say if it will or it won’t work well with macOS.

    LucyRTL8125Ethernet Issue

Not me, but I have used the Realtek 2.5Gb (8125B) Ethernet port on my Asus B550m system in Tahoe. Just while installing and configuring Tahoe, until I could set up and enable my Aquantia 10Gb PCIe adapter.

    Is this SSD compatible?

Safe? Personally I wouldn’t go with the Samsung Evo SSD. I would opt for a Western Digital, SanDisk or TimeTec SSD. These brands all work without issue in macOS, TimeTec used to provide Apple with Memory and Drives for their systems. The controllers used by WD and SanDisk in their SSD's are...

Installation Error - error during loading the update

Try this revised EFI. Just add your MacPro7,1 SMBIOS data to the config.plist. Don't change anything else in the EFI or config.plist. I would recommend temporarily removing all drives bar the macOS drive and USB installer. Having other OS's and Data drives connected when installing and...

    AMD ASRock BC-250 on macOS

Without a compatible IGPU you are probably wasting your time. As the only AMD IGPU kext (NootedRed.kext) available is unlikely to work with this system on a socket (SoC) configuration. A lightweight Linux distro seems to be the only OS that readily supports this pared down Ryzen 7 2700 APU...

    LucyRTL8125Ethernet Issue

The specification page for your ASRock motherboard says it contains a Killer E3100G Ethernet controller. https://pg.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B650E%20PG%20Riptide%20WiFi/index.asp#Specification While this is an Ethernet offering from Intel it appears to have a Realtek controller. Are you using the...

Installation Error - error during loading the update

I have not had a proper look at your revised OC setup. I will do so later today.

    Problems with Install Boot

The CPU name issue is purely cosmetic. It will have no bearing on the way the CPU works. That will be dictated by the CPU core entries in the AMD Kernel patches. Why did you update the Bios? When changing the Bios, this can cause problems with your OC setup, as it may require different...

    LucyRTL8125Ethernet Issue

Might be related to the version of the Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet controller your motherboard uses. Older/first Gen Realtek 2.5Gb controllers work perfectly well with the kext. I have 3 x 500 series motherboards and 5 x PCIe adapters that use the first Gen controller and they all work as expected...

    RX 570 8GB - Whatevergreen, NootRX or agdpmod=pikera?

Use the Clean OC Snapshot, which will update your config.plist with the revised contents of the ACPI, Drivers, Kexts & Tools folders. The other OC Snapshot option creates a new/separate config.plist that contains entries for the contents of the OC folder. Helpful when you want to compare...

    Intel I225-V Problem on 15.7.2

The USB to Ethernet adapter should be good, as a workaround for the flakey Intel 2.5Gb port. It is what a lot of other users have ended up doing when in the same position.

    RX 570 8GB - Whatevergreen, NootRX or agdpmod=pikera?

When using an RX 500 or RX VEGA series GPU you are best served using WhateverGreen.kext. You do not need to use the agdpmod=pikera boot argument with the RX 500 or VEGA series of AMD GPUs. NootRX.kext is solely aimed at the newer Navi ll series of cards (RX 6000 series). NootRX includes the...

OK, that wasn't at all clear from your previous message.

Can't install macOS Tahoe - Hardstuck in ACPI Exception: AE_NOT_FOUND

So when using these EFI folders and trying to install macOS Tahoe, have you physically removed the Nvidia GPU or not? Have you tried generating the MmioWhitelist entries for your B650 motherboard? As without them you are not likely to get your system booting macOS. Check this Dortania guide...

Install freezes at 12 min; AMD Threadripper 3970x

The most common cause for the installation stalling at the 12 minutes remaining mark, is a borked macOS installer. It is not likely to be a issue with the OC EFI, as an issue in the EFI is more likely to cause an early kernel panic. You would be advised to delete/erase the current USB...

Installation Error - error during loading the update

When downloading a macOS application using gibMacOS you need to run (double-click) on the ‘install assistant’ command to have the application available from the Applications folder. You do not copy the downloaded folder to the Applications folder.

    Problems with Install Boot

Only problem with the EFI you found is that it is out of date for any recent versions of macOS, such as Sonoma, Sequoia and Tahoe. The AMD Kernel patches in the config.plist are not up to date either. SecureBootModel should be set as 'Disabled' not as 'Default' Intel 2.5G Ethernet controllers...

    Frozen installation? 5900x - rx6800xt

Try this EFI from OpenCore 1.0.5, it is based on the one used in my Asus TUF B550 system. I have removed the Serial Number, MLB, ROM and SystemUUID from the config.plist, so that is all you should need to change for your system to boot. I have replaced NootRX.kext with WhateverGreen.kext as...

    Frozen installation? 5900x - rx6800xt

Yes, that is true. The current EFI I am using runs Ventura, Sonoma, Sequoia and Tahoe with no issues. I will post a copy of my current EFI for you to try, when I am at my desk.
