So, spec in my sig, if I'm using a sata ssd and an nvme ssd, on this b450i pcie3.0 motherboard... Does that mean the RX 6800 is actually running in 8x pcie3.0 mode? Due to sata also using pcie lanes? I know if you run 2 pcie cards it makes a pcie4.0 gpu/nvme on a b550m run everything at pcie3.0...

To be honest mate, you'd be better off building a cheap b450/b550 AMD hackintosh and using the RX 6600 in there. I myself, have a 2nd system with a 4070 in, and keep that just for gaming under the tv with a controller... I use RX 6800 system in my sig as a hackintosh at the desk and dual boot...

Are you trying to update an existing install or doing a fresh one? Is this natively installed or within a VM on your linux distro? If it's updating an existing install, just make a bootable usb installer, don't bother with updating it from within the OS, that often causes problems.

Ah ok, thanks mate :) So as I thought then, in my situation - waiting till a full release is out then installing it, I don't need to worry as the cores are already setup in my existing EFI, then I just update OpenCore and download all the latest patches. Thanks for confirming this :)
